COMFORT ZONE
For some time now, I have been pondering on
this article, fortunately for me, it was preached in church on Sunday, so I feel
this is the right time to let it out.
COMFORT is defined as the state of being physically relaxed and free from pain; the
state of having a pleasant life with everything you need.
COMFORT ZONE is defined as a place or situation in which you feel safe or comfortable
especially when you choose to stay in this situation instead of trying to work
harder or achieve more.
A lot of people feel too relaxed after attaining some level of success in life... Comfort
is good, relaxation is lovely but getting too carried away by this can be very
dangerous.
I
understand that many have not gotten to their comfort zone yet, so they
continue to toil day and night to ensure that they get to the point of comfort
while there are some who have gotten to their comfort zone but are not ready to leave there to become better.
What
is your definition of a comfort zone? Some people think when they own a duplex;
they have attained their comfort zone. Some think when they get married or give
birth to children, others think when they get a good job.
But
I say to you that every comfort zone requires an improvement. Whatever your
comfort zone is or whatever it looks like, just ensure you improve the zone
and make your life better. Looking around today, I see that many get too
comfortable with certain levels in their life. It’s not a bad idea to feel
comfortable after going through a lot of pain. But improve and work harder in
your comfort zone.
Rev
Tunde Afe (Founder of House of Faith Christian Centre, Ado-Ekiti) also said that “you cannot release your potentials in your comfort zone,
releasing of potentials takes a lot of work, people who are in the comfort zone are short term thinkers”. Our comfort zone doesn't stop us
from being a better person. You can improve, you can be better, work hard, and
release your potentials. Break out from your Comfort Zone and create avenues to release your potentials….Cheers
keep it up. I believe in you.
