STANDING BEFORE KINGS

A king is a person that is thought to be the best or most important of a particular type; an important personality.
Standing before kings is not just finding you in the presence or in front of an important person. To me standing kings is being useful to kings; being relevant to the level at which kings cannot do without you.
A king can be likened to a ruler, a minister, a commissioner, Governor, presidents, Honourable and very notable people.
To stand before kings, there are criteria; there are things to be considered. The Holy Bible says in the book of Proverbs that have you seen a man skilled in his work, he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before ordinary men. A skilled man is a person that has enough ability, experience and knowledge to be able to do something well. Before a person can be skilled, he/she must be hardworking and diligent in his/her work. Truthfulness, sincerity, obedience and humility are characteristics that must be combined with hardwork to be skilled.
A lazy person cannot stand before Kings because there will be nothing to show for his/her stand.
Proverb says a man’s gift makes room for him before great men. What are the gifts of a man? A man’s gift is not bread, butter, groundnut or material things, a man’s gift is actually a man’s virtue (behaviour or attitude that show high moral standards; an attractive or useful quality; a particular good quality or habit).
A man’s talent also makes room for him before great men, but if the talents are not well utilized, if the talents are not developed, the man will end up standing before ordinary men.
Favour is standing before great men, standing before great men gives you opportunity to dine with kings, it enlarges you and increases your capacity for greatness and it also gives you an opportunity to become a king.

This article is purposely written to remind us that in life, we should learn to develop ourselves and create avenue for greatness. In this new season, my prayer is that the works of your hands brings you before great men. I also pray that the works of my hands brings me before great men. Cheers
