YOUR SERVICE
Looking around today, I do not feel so
excited about the way people go about their service in the House of the Lord.
Service
is the particular skill or help that a person is able to offer. Every skill or
help a person offers in the House of God should be centered towards God and
reconciling people to God. In the House of God (Church) today, many people are
only rendering services because of man. They have refused to give all glory and
honour to God in all they do.
The
service they render is to the head of the church. They pay their tithes and give
contributions in church because they want to find favour in the sight of the Church Head, believing that their service to the man of God will take them to heaven.
Many now hide under these services and practice several forms of sin such as
backbiting, fornication, adultery, hypocrisy, blasphemy etc in the house of
God.
Your
service to man cannot take you to heaven, the Anointing or Grace on your pastor
cannot take you to heaven. Only the works of your hands will take you to heaven
and grant you favour. Rev 22:12 says “And, behold, I come quickly; and my
reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.".
You should look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of your Faith. When Jesus
Christ came to the world, all His service on was to the glory of God and
fulfillment of His purpose on earth. Everything He did was centered on God and
His disciples did the same.
Our service to God is very important. Are you a worker in church? Are you a minister? Do you sing in church because you want your pastor to praise you or you sing because you want God to be pleased with you? Do you bring gifts to church because you want your pastor to like you?
Remember
that it is our responsibility to serve God. It is our responsibility to build
for God, it is our responsibility to do things in the House of God, and it is
our responsibility to see to the development of the church. Why not center all
you do towards God. Every man will be judged according to the works of his
hands.
Hmmm, good one sweetie
