THE MUDDY GROUND

During the raining season, the ground becomes wet and dirty. The muddy ground becomes sticky and mostly irritating to people. When people walk on this muddy ground, they are always careful so that their feet won’t be dirty and the mud won’t splash on their body.
Notice also that there are people who walk carelessly during this season. In the process of walking carelessly their feet and body gets stained. They have to take their time to remove the stain. If the mud splashes on their clothes for instance the stain might not remove again.
With this I realize that some
people have a non-chalant attitude. They do not care about their life. They just believe things will always work for them as long as they live. They walk on the mud (soft and wet ground) as if it is a hard and soft ground.
Our life is likened to a soft ground that needs to be walked on softly and carefully. When we hold an egg, we hold it with care because if it falls by mistake, it becomes useless. In the journey your life, you must ensure you tread softly. You should determine the kind of people who walk on your ground (life). Do not allow just any how people to walk into your life.

When you walk carelessly on a wet and soft ground, it becomes very rough. It becomes irritating to other people and it leaves a horrible mark on it. Our life shouldn't irritate people around us; it should bring joy and peace to people around us. Dirty and rough mud attracts all sort of irritating and disgusting things.
But you and I know that as wet and soft a ground is, you can make something meaningful out of it. You can beautify it and make it attractive. Remember how Jesus healed a man blind from birth by rubbing the mud into his eyes. The creator of the Mud (God) can use anything to perform wonders and miracles (John 9:1-15).
Are you out there thinking that nothing good can come out of your life? Psalm 40:2 says “And he doth cause me to come up from a pit of desolation from mire of mud and he raiseth up on a rock my feet. He is establishing my feet” (NIV). Another version said “And he established my goings”. No matter how horrible your life is, no matter how rough it is, even if people with non-chalant attitude have trampled on it, it can still be better. Don’t give up. Allow God to bring you out of that horrible pit.Note that this horrible pit can be likened to some negative situations; it could be addictions, worry, abuse from the past etc.
But have faith; a mud can be turned into to fine clay that can be used to carve beautiful things. Get up, wash yourself clean, amend your ways, and carve something beautiful out of your life and you will see changes. SHALOM
